Today’s Open Access File of the Day depicts a group of women washing utensils and vegetables in Matlab [sic!], one of which can be seen to use a sari filter for drinking water, as an illustration of the following observation:
In a recent trial in rural Bangladesh, cholera rates were halved when villagers filtered their drinking water through eight layers of sari cloth, a cheap but effective and socially acceptable intervention
